Reduced shipping costs

As owners of an online shop in the Canary Islands, we know that shipping can be expensive, especially when it comes to destinations outside our beloved islands. That is why we have developed a special methodology for calculating shipping costs, in which we take care of approximately 40% to 50% of the official postage rates for both national and European shipments, except in some exceptional cases where we cannot adjust the rates. We want every customer, regardless of their location, to be able to enjoy our products without the cost of shipping becoming an obstacle.

How do we calculate shipping costs?

1. We start with Correos de España’s rates and the weight of the order: To begin with, we take as a basis the official rates of Correos de España, which depend both on the destination (national or European) and the total weight of the order. We know that, from the Canary Islands, the shipping cost is usually higher due to the distance and special procedures, so it is essential to adjust each rate according to the weight.

2. Covering part of the cost: This is where our commitment comes in. We apply an approximate 50% discount on this base rate and we cover that part of the shipping costs so that the final cost is much more affordable for you. Yes, you only pay half of what the shipping from the Canary Islands really costs!

3. Shipping optimisation: We know that costs can vary, so we strive to constantly review and adjust our rates. This allows us to always offer the best shipping option and, in some cases, we may even be charging a little less than 50% when circumstances allow.

NOTE:

Shipments to the Canary Islands:

As we are based in the Canary Islands, all the prices of the products shown on the website include IGIC and other taxes that may apply in the Canary Islands.

Shipments to European countries:

When a Customer places an order for products whose delivery destination is an EU country, VAT will be applied, which our system will recalculate once the delivery address has been entered.

Shipments to non-EU countries:

If a Customer places an order for products whose delivery destination is a non-EU country, VAT will not be applied, therefore the obligation to pay import duties and taxes may arise, which will be charged at the time the package arrives at its destination and will be at the Customer’s expense. Any additional charges due to customs clearance will be borne by the customer. Customs policies vary significantly from country to country so please check with the relevant customs office for further information.
